Recent Reads
I finished a book the other day. Finally, after not finishing the book we have picked for book club for, ummm, THREE months, I have finished one. Granted I have read other books in that time I just wasn't able to get into the ones that we had picked out. A few months ago my grandma had given me to read. The one I read is called Lost and Found by Carolyn Parkhurst. It was pretty good and an easy, quick read. The story is based on a group of people on a reality show. They get clues and have to figure out where to go and how to get there faster than everyone else. Like the Amazing Race. They are in groups of two. Each chapter is written from the perspective of a different person. The game show of course throws in lots of little twists to create drama. Everyone in the game sort of has a little secret that they don't want all of America to know. Those things always make for a good story! I think I will read the other book she wrote, The Dogs of Babel.
The second book my grandma let me borrow was A Year in the Life of a Small Town: Good News from North Haven by Michael L. Lindvall. It is written from the perspective of a pastor in small town MN. I have only read one chapter. But I can already tell . . . it is going to be awesome! I have related to some things in it already. So funny.
Any recent reads from anyone else???
